This is Brian, the loud mouthed Tasmanian who helped us win the regatta last week. He came to phuket to test drive the Seacart 30. He got to see it in all conditions. . . Dead calm to 34 knot whiteout squalls. Jock said brian was a great source of brute force and ignorance. Fun times.

Today down at the club. Tawan played all day in the water and on the rope swing. Bob took may and t to the aquarium while i did some racing. Simon and roger were on the Hobie, marco on his little red tri, and joe and i on the nacra. Three races and mild sunburn followed by cold tigers and hot burgers.

On the beach this mo . . . Looking out at all the boats.

The last dinner we had at ko Mook about 62 miles south of phuket. 72 miles from Langkawi. I had the snapper.

Next time your in langkawi stop in to Maja Raja indian food in georgetown next to the theater. Top drawer.

Thor in slings

Today the mast went back on and we dropped her back in the lagoon. Here she is in slings.

We started today at 10am and finished up around 4pm. Tastey lunch at the french place. Three Gatorades to rehydrate plus two extra Tigers went down smoothly.

The new paint job and graphics. Dropping it back in the water today.

The corn lady making her rounds. The corn is stripped off the cob and mixed with coconut shavings, butter, salt, and sugar. Makes for a healthy desert. About 20 baht.

Pet Monkey and the yacht club

Someones pet monkey.

The small yacht club we launch the nacra from. No wind today so we repaired the main traveller.

They have eight of these Optimists for kids sailing school. The king of thailand was quite a good sailor in his day.

Looking east beyond the tire swing is a pearl farm.

The family that owned this whole beach was offered 20 million ten years ago. They turned it down. Today there are several small homes that rent out for $300 or so a month. I might have to look into leasing one long term because the beach is nice and the water is very clean.
Perhaps all those oysters in the pearl farm help clean the water.
