Today I was Googling for "lego furniture for adults" because I have often wondered if there was such a product out there. To be more specific I was looking for some sort of modular home furnishings with which you could create simple home furnishings without the need for table saws, drill presses, nail guns, a garage to hold all of that stuff, and the budget to buy all of that stuff, plus of the confidence and ability to follow through with making all the stuff. My search revealed these websites of interest…

Creative Close-up had 20 fascinating Lego inspired gadgets, furniture, and objects. They also have a next-generation "Pop up window" to promote their FaceBook page. It looks like the pop-up companies are taking advantage of the light box technology normally used in online photo galleries. Beside the point I know. This site has lots of pictures of unusual things made out of Legos but no modular furnishing systems like I was looking for. image

The next website that I found featured life-size Lego inspired furniture that basically looked like real Legos enlarged that scale to the size of a normal human being. Also not what I was looking for. image

The next website lead to a life hacker article exploring how you can repurpose your old Legos and furniture… notice the Lego head cookie jar on the counter… cool. One of the photos was credited to The Cool Hunter which is a site that has all sorts of cool stuff on it like retail store design ( I always appreciate creative store design )

These lamps remind me of the 12 Monkeys film.

They have a whole section on treehouses… I can’t tell if the one below is real or not… I’d say fake.

I also like green roofs… they should be mandatory.

They also have all sorts of art…
