We were driving over the bridge from West Wenatchee to East Wenatchee when I remembered that Bonnie and Bob live in Wenatchee Washington. So I gave them a call and they invited us over for dinner and put us up for the night.
They have a beautiful home overlooking the Columbia River and surrounded by golden mountains. Bonnie prepared pesto pasta with fresh ingredients from her garden and Bob prepared the garlic bread. I was in charge of creating the Parmesan cheese. Dinner was excellent and so was the conversation.
We are planning to stop by their office/warehouse for the tour before departing to the grand Coulee dam.
Bob says that we missed the 80° weather by about one week; it is now around 60° and high 30s at night. It has been raining the past couple days so we were happy to see the blue sky this morning.
Stay tuned for more updates.
